The spectacular sky captured in this photo was a typical sight as I drove around the nearly deserted Ring of Kerry and Skellig Ring on a chilly but beautiful winter day. The islands in the distance are the rocky Skelligs.

Buskers are a common sight in the area around Dublin. These two musicians helped to set a fine mood for a lovely evening stroll on the pier at Dun Laoghaire.

The beautiful sky on this wind swept winter morning on Achill Island, County Mayo was continually changing. Curtains of light like the ones seen here swept across the water for over an hour.

Kylemore Abbey

Kylemore Abbey in Connemara, County Galway, is now an exclusive boarding school for girls. It was originally built by Mitchell Henry as a Gothic Revival mansion in the late19th century. A color photograph of the Abbey can be seen in Gallery 1.

Skellig Ring

Like image 803, this photograph was taken along the Skellig Ring in County Kerry. The island on the horizon is Skellig Michael. Though now long deserted, this island was for hundreds of years a lonely monastic outpost on the edge of the known world.
